Took me forever, but all of this was done on the MPC (including sampling the 12 into it). What felt a lot like artistic resistance was really just working-up muscle memory on another alternate workflow. Would have taken me way less time in Ableton or with the SP-404. Hardest part is getting my kind of sounds, and this ended up a little dank, even for me.
